Before modelling the final 3D shape of the ore body the geologist
investigates the ore grade cut-off in 2D profile interpretations. Finished with the
modelling, she is now ready to make an ore reserve evaluation of the new ore body.
Combining the chemical analyses from the core sections with the 3D wireframe model, she
calculates the drill core intersections through the model obtaining mean grades and
revenues. She stores the results in a result data table from which reports can be
presented at any time. The end. |

OreVal OreVal calculates ore reserves from triangulated (wireframe) models created by Triangles. Interpretation of the ore body is carried out in MicroStation using information from drill holes, surveying, mapping and sampling. The evaluation of drill holes and samples within the ore body volume is performed by OreVal. Drill hole intersections yielding mean grades can be verified, corrected and exported to a result data table. The results regarding ore grades, tonnage of excavated rock volume and revenues, can be presented in reports at any time. |
